Hi! I’m Colin.
Geologist by trade, curious by nature, and learning and creating wherever I am!
I won’t pretend this website is anything crazy… I just love to get out there and try things. Whether I’m hoping through “youth” hostels in my 30s, learning how to scuba dive, or skydive, or running marathons, writing is how I understand the world, and how I process what I’m seeing and learning.
I hope to serve you with content that enriches us both.
Like I said, nothing crazy.

- 2013 – Walked to Camino De Santiago de Compostela in Spain
- 2013 – Moved to Spain to teach English
- 2017 – Moved to San Francisco to study Geology
- 2018 – Lived in my truck to get through graduate school
- 2019 – Bike packed across Nevada in the summer
- 2020 – Completed a Masters of Science in Geology
- 2021 – Ran across the Grand Canyon, and then ran back
- 2023 – Bought a Condo in Anchorage, Alaska
- 2024 – Completed a NOLS mountaineering course in Alaska
- 2025 – Quit my stable job
- 2025 – Spent a month exploring how people live in rural India
- 2025 – Trekked to Everest Base Camp
- 2025 – Spent a month obsessed with scuba diving in the Philippines
- 2025 – Attended a 10-day Vipassana Meditation retreat in Cambodia
- 2025 – Ran a half marathon around Angkor Watt, in Cambodia
- 2026 – Accepted a summer guide position for NOLS Alaska
- 2026 – IM WRITING A BOOK!! But what about? I DON’T KNOW…. YET.
